We are reaching out to our dedicated community today to share an important announcement regarding “The Walking Dead: Empires.” Your participation over the past years has been invaluable, and we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your ongoing support. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to sunset “The Walking Dead: Empires,” with the last playable date set for July 31st, 2025. 

This decision was not made lightly. “The Walking Dead: Empires” has been in open beta for over a year, following two years of development. From the start, we pursued ambitious goals and explored exciting possibilities for the game. While this marks the end of “The Walking Dead: Empires,” we remain committed to delivering engaging experiences across the Gala ecosystem.

We appreciate your support of the game to date, including the purchasing of exclusive NFTs of characters, crafting stations, and land. While the game’s journey is coming to an end, we remain committed to ensuring that these NFTs continue to have utility. As part of the sunset process, we will be distributing new NFTs of equal functionality in other Gala Games products to TWD:E NFT holders. We are hard at work on a redemption system for this distribution, more details of which will be shared in a following post.
